On 12/22/2024 05:00 am by Rob Pettengill | Website | Tucson, Az, Austin, Tx, Bad Wolf Ranch, Tx
A long exposure image of the Rosette Nebula, Sh2-275, NGC2237, on five nights in December from Tucson, Austin, and Bad Wolf Ranch. Long exposure of this bright target provides plenty of data for drizzle stacking dithered exposures to increase resolution, and to generate a synthetic Hubble palate image.
WO RedCat 250/51mm, L-Ultimate dual NB filter, ASI533 MC camera, ASIAIR Plus controller, AM5N mount.
216 5' exposures stacked and processed in PixInsight with RC-Astro and SetiAstro tools. H alpha and O 3 data rendered in a synthetic Hubble SHO palette. Final exp and crop in Affinity Photo
