Jupiter Rising after Sunset.
On 12/11/2024 06:26 pm by Peter Lowenstein | Website | Mutare, Zimbabwe
On Wednesday 11th December at 6.26 pm, Jupiter was observed rising in sunset antitwilight above trees on a hill in Cecil Kop Nature Reserve to the NNE of my residence on Murambi Heights. Since being in opposition on the 7th it has been rising 5 minutes earlier each day so there was now sufficient light to record a video and produce a time-lapse animation of it appearing in a beautiful pink Belt of Venus. Here is a montage of 9 still frame captures extracted from the x5 speed time-lapse animation of Jupiter rising in sunset anti-twilight (pink Belt of Venus) on 11th December. The animation will be posted as a comment if this image is accepted for publication.
