The clear sky we had last night drew me outside, without clouds or fog, creating the best conditions to stargaze. Stars always look brighter in winter. It's true. Even the light of the waxing moon didn't wash out the contrast of stars against the sky, it lit up the landscape and everywhere its light touched. This eastern facing scene is just magical with so many sky features from The Pleiades, Jupiter, The Hyades and Aldebaran, Orion and Sirius!
