Venus and the waxing crescent moon were only 2 degrees apart when they were setting over the ocean about 3 hours after sunset. Clouds low over the horizon were beautifully backlit by the moon. Just about 15 earlier, the first (reusable) stage of SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, launched during Starlink mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base, zipped through the sky above Venus and moon (see a separate photo). Passersby enjoyed both events, although I much prefer this celestial natural phenomenon!))
