This Horned Grebe had its eye on me.

This waterfowl is a non-breeding, adult Horned Grebe which I saw among a small flock of Pied-billed Grebes. The neat black cap and white cheek helps separate them from the similar looking Eared Grebe. Both species have the distinctive red eye...which looks kind of creepy to me.
