In the constellation of Orion, near the belt there are the dark nebula IC 434, also known as the Horsehead, and the Flame nebula Ngc2024. These objects are among the coldest known in the field of astrophysics, and are of particular interest regarding the star formation process. They are objects highly sought after by astrophotographers for their shape and colors which can only be seen with long exposure photos.
