This composite of Saturn was made under excellent seeing conditions (8 to 9 in the 10-point scale by Pickering) and mostly transparent skies (about 4 in a 5-point scale). Good seeing and transparency rarely come together, but this time they did. As explained in previous submissions to EarthSky, because of the surrounding ocean, my area in the Caribbean generally enjoys good seeing.
