Sandhills coming in for a landing

I hadn't seen any Sandhill Cranes this year (2024) flying over as in other years. So I was thrilled to find out that around 50 made a stopover at Chatfield State Park. I spent a couple of hours observing them grazing with Canada Geese and in this photo, coming in for a landing after a brief circle in the air. I love how their legs dangle with their toes widespread.
