California Nebula NGC 1499

California Nebula NGC 1499. It is an extensive emission nebula visible in the constellation of Perseus. Its shape recalls, with a little imagination, that of the American state. It is visible in the winter sky and is located about 1000 light years from Earth.

The photo was taken from Milan with Askar 230 telescope, Asi 2600 Mc camera, Ioptron Gem 28 mount, Optolong L-Enhance filter, 32-130 mm Ultra Guide Artesky guide telescope, Asi 224 Mc.
