I had quite the Halloween surprise around 4 am this morning. My Ring camera alerted me to someone at the back door. To my utter amazement, I saw this tiny owl!

I posted this image in a Maryland birding Facebook group to ask for advice on its species. Many thought it was an eastern screech-owl. A few of us felt it was a northern saw-whet owl. What do you think?
