M42 - Orion Nebula
The Jewel of the Winter Sky
The Orion Nebula, M42, mesmerizes astrophotographers and astronomers alike! This vast, star-forming region:
- Spans 24 light-years across
- Lies 1,300 light-years away
- Boasts vibrant gas and dust
- Births new stars
Why Astrophotographers Adore M42:
1. Vibrant colors: Intense pink, purple, and blue hues.
2. Dramatic textures: Swirling clouds, wispy tendrils.
3. Accessibility: Visible with binoculars or small telescopes.
4. Proximity: Relatively close, allowing detailed capture.
5. Iconic status: A celestial landmark.
This is a panorama of 3 images which I captured manually through the use of seestar, I stitched the images in photoshop and adjust the sharpness and and denoise the images.
I just though of showing the with stars and starless image just for comparison.
seestar
This is a panorama of M42 or Orion Nebula. I took 3 images in vertical in seestar at 10 sec exposure, with 4 minute image integration each frame. I stitched it in photoshop, corrected the color, and added a little of sharpness. This is the result.
