The Milky and C/2023 A3--What a treat to get both!

This pic has a story for sure. Two nights ago while setting up for some deep space pics I was looking up at the sky and the Milky Way. I said to myself why not take some Milky pics. The result was that after developing I realized there's the comet just to the side of the Milky. So, last night I switched to my 20mm on my modified camera for the Milky pic and simultaneously I used my regular Canon R and a 70-200 @70mm using my 2i for tracking to photograph more detail of the comet. Basically I took these pics at the same time. The box on the lower pic shows you what I photographed at 70mm. It was so much fun to see the comet in the milky pic 2 days ago and it was even more fun to put the two pics together. It was challenging to get the development close enough on the two separate pics so it didn't look funny when they were combined. Three years ago I could never have imagined I would learn to do things like this and I am so glad I did!

Canon R modified with VisHa filter, Sigma 20mm f2, 13 8sec exposures + flats on tripod

Canon R unmodified, Canon 70-200L@70mm f4, 13 30sec exposures using Star Adventurer 2i + flats
