Although this goose looks like a Canada Goose it's actually an Aleutian cackling goose. He was grazing quite far from a flock of 12 larger sized Canada geese. Aleutians are smaller in size, have a shorter neck and smaller bill than Canada geese. Aleutian cacklung geese are genetically different from the Canada geese.
In the image the cackling goose is getting tired and was sitting but still grazing, with grass all over his bill. Soon after he tucked his head and took a nap.
