Comet Tsuchinshan ATLAS over South China, Maine
On 10/15/2044 07:09 pm by Maria Cruz| South China, Maine
I had read that the 15th would be the best night to photograph the comet looking due west after sunset. Our home faces due west but the sky had been full of clouds all day long so I wasn't very optimistic about seeing the comet. Shortly after sunset, I noticed the clouds were breaking up so I went outside to look, and there it was! I was able to photograph it for some time while the sky cleared up completely. Unfortunately, the closer it got to the horizon, the less visible it became.
