Comet C/2023 A3 over Belton, Texas

We had clear skies as the sun was setting, and I had been out getting dinner with my family when I remembered this was the first night of clear visibility for the comet after sunset. I dashed home, grabbed my camera and 70-200mm zoom, and headed to the park down the road, which has a hill and an open horizon view to the west. Parked in a parking lot with several others, but it was not clearly visible due to serious light pollution plus a floodlight facing me, plopped my beanbag on the roof and took a test shot where I thought it might be. Found it on the first shot, then refined my focus and settings by trial and error. This was one of my best, but it needed processing to bring it out more clearly.

Canon 5D Mk IV, Canon EF70-200mm f/2.8, captured at 70mm, settings ISO 2500, 3.2 seconds at f/6.3,

I cropped the photo and created two extra copies, dropped exposure by -1.5 on one, increased exposure by +1.5 on another, then fused them into a pseudo-HDR using Photomatix Pro. Denoised on Lightroom Classic.
