Aurora Borealis in Central California, 35.5 degrees north

This is what I thought was the best of 250 images, 20 seconds each, at an ISO of 800. I'm sure others captured better aurora displays, but I think the fact that this is Central California (about N 35.5 latitude) makes it truly unusual.

Nikon D810A camera on a sturdy tripod, connected to a laptop computer and capture software, which I set to take a 20-second image every two minutes, all night.

This is basically just as it came off the camera.
