Stars Through The Ocean Mist
On 10/03/2024 08:17 pm by Cecille Kennedy| South Pointe, Oregon
On a clear night at the coast even with the seemingly ever constant ocean mist near the horizon the stars are exceptionally lovely to see. The image shows the lower portion of The Milky Way with a distinct pretty purple pink nebula (upper left on image below the shorepine leaves) that I tried to identify in vain. My best guess is that it's the Lagoon Nebula. On the lower right the faint orange twilight colors are faintly visible on the ocean horizon.
