C/(2023) A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) at Dawn

The mini heatwave finally gave us clear, though a bit hazy skies near the horizon. I set my alarm for 4:00 a.m. and drove to a nearby park. According to my app, Planit Pro, I should be able to see the comet over the distant hills near the "dip." Sure enough at 5:55 a.m., the comet showed up in my LCD. After fiddling w/ the camera settings (I really needed more coffee), I started my images in this sequence. I was so excited to capture this icy visitor. I was also amazed at how fast the comet moved at this focal length. Will now wait for mid October when the comet will appear in the evening skies.

Images were cropped for sky only. They were then stacked, registered and processed with Siril. The resulting image was re-merged with the foreground they were taken with in Photoshop. Touch ups were made in Lightroom.
