Smoke-Hazed and Cloud-Marbled Sun Setting

On Saturday 21st September, one day before the Southern Hemisphere Spring Equinox, the smoke-hazed and cloud marbled Sun was photographed descending and setting behind the summit of Murahwa Mountain due west of Murambi in Mutare. Visibility was again affected by smoke-haze from dry season burning of vegetation and the Sun was partially obscured by wisps of slow moving approaching cloud which darkened its colour and produced patterns which gave it a marbled appearance.
