This image captures Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS over Lake George. It is presented as a time slice, taken at Lake George, New South Wales (NSW), Australia, on the morning of September 21, 2024. The image was shot during the blue hour (between 4:28 and 4:53 am local time), before sunrise, using a 135mm lens without a tracker. Each comet in the final image was stacked from 50 frames (each with 1-second exposures) for noise reduction. The foreground features wind turbines. The image was processed using Sequator (for stacking the comet) and Photoshop (for basic adjustments).
