A solitary deer in a sea of bright yellow wildflowers at the wildlife refuge.
The yellow wildflowers that look like small sunflowers are called Nodding Bur Marigold. The fruiting heads tend to nod and the bur-like seeds are so named because they stick to clothing and certain shoes.
