This morning, the nearly full Moon swept by Saturn, briefly occulting it. This photo shows Saturn moments away from disappearing behind the limb of the Moon. The conditions were mediocre, so this image is not very sharp. However, it was a stunning sight to see. While awaiting Saturn's reappearance, I enjoyed a lovely aurora borealis display.
