Aurora australis in the great Southern.
On 09/12/2024 09:30 pm by Andrea Deegan| north of Borden Western Australia
I went out to get some star images as it was a still, very clear evening. Imagine my surprise when I found the Aurora australis pulsing, even though there was quite a bright moon. The mountain range in the background is the Stirlings, the highest point in WA at just over 1000 metres. We are a very flat state here.
Canon D60, 10 - 18 generic wide-angle lens.
