Melotte 15 (Collinder 26) is a star cluster with molecular clouds, at the center of the heart nebula, IC1805, SH2-190.

It contains a few bright stars nearly 50 times the mass of our Sun, and many more dim stars that are only a fraction of our Sun's mass.
Regions include emission nebulae, showing glowing ionized hydrogen gas and darker dust lanes. Young stars from the open star cluster Melotte-15 are eroding away several picturesque dust pillars with their energetic light and winds..
It is 7500 light years away from Earth and is located in the Perseus Arm of the Galaxy in the constellation Cassiopeia.
It was discovered by William Herschel on 3 November 1787

The Melotte catalogue is a catalogue of 245 star clusters by British astronomer Philibert Jacques Melotte.
