Autumn Meadowhawk signals end of dragonfly season

You know it is the end of the dragonfly season when you see an Autumn Meadowhawk dragonfly in your backyard. This male was warming himself on a cement block. Autumn Meadowhawks are among the last dragonflies of the season to appear in this area and unlike most dragonflies spend little time near lakes and ponds.
