Waving good bye to the Milky Way for a season.

On 09/04/2024 09:37 pm by Steve Price| Fremont Junction, Utah

Smoke from the western states had blown into Utah Wednesday morning and arrived in the southern part of the state later that evening. I had to make the most of my astrophotography session despite the smoke. September is , in my opinion, the last new moon phase for capturing the Milky Way as it descends to the southern hemisphere for 5-6 months.

Sony a7s, Rokinon 24mm lens, MSM star tracker, tripod, intervalometer.

Contrast, Topaz DeNoise, mild star removal.
