If only closer...

Someone in our area posted on FB around 11pm images showing Aurora visible. So of course, I had to investigate! Went to a location about 5 minutes away where it appeared more as a slightly colorfed haze to the naked eye and confirmed by imaging, but decided to go to a more aesthetic location to make more images. Seems like during the travel time (~20min) the lights had withdrawn to the North. This image was made about 10min SW of Harrisburg, OR (city glow visible under tree).
