Moon, seven sisters and planet Uranus in conjunction!
On 08/26/2024 01:55 am by Adeel Shafiq| Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan
Tonight the waning gibbous moon at 55% illumination was in close conjunction with the Pleaides star cluster (aka seven sisters) and planet Uranus making a perfect triangle decorating the night sky. Luckily the sky quality was very clear tonight with lots of stars visible from light polluted skies of Lahore. This is the fourth close encounter of the moon with the seven sisters this season and next close encounter between the two would be the lunar occultation of Pleaides star cluster on 20th October 2024 which is also the month where we will be having two planetary occultations in less than 24 hours on two consecutive nights in Pakistan.
