Summer's end

Dragonfly season is just about over here in Eastern Nebraska. Dragonflies have very short lives, and this guy was no exception. His wings were in rough shape and he was barely moving when I found him, and only flew away when I wanted to see if he'd perch on my finger. Damselflies are more tolerant when I get my macro lens this close (an inch away); dragonflies normally dart away when I get within a foot of them.
