Fireflies are stars that could not journey to the sky!

I have always been fascinated by the images of fireflies taken with long exposure and myself being a night sky enthusiast I wanted to capture them with the night sky.
During my recent trip to Jhelum river for Perseid meteor shower I was surprised to see a huge number of fireflies across the bank of river Jhelum illuminating the dark with their otherworldly display of bioluminescence emanating electric shades of green and yellow.
I took this image just by the bank of the Jhelum river far from city lights. The streaks of light above the tree are actually star trails which show the movement of our planet over a period of 10 minutes.
