Predawn Sky Watching With Aurora Activity, Ventana Wilderness Big Sur, California

Taken around 4:30 AM on Monday, August 12 2024 close to the Indians campground in the Ventana Wilderness near Big Sur California. This image captures some of the aurora activity from the early, predawn hours on Monday. Although I could not see the colors while sky watching it was a beautiful surprise when I reviewed the pictures. My excitement and awe at seeing the aurora activity more than compensated for not capturing images of the Perseid and Aquarid meteor showers.
