Aurora Borealis viewed from Ventana Wilderness, California

Taken around 4:30 AM on Monday, August 12 2024 close to the Indian's campground in the Ventana Wilderness near Big Sur California. I was aware that strong aurora was activity predicted for Sunday night through Monday morning. Although I could not see it while sky watching it was a beautiful surprise when I reviewed the pictures. My excitement and awe at seeing the aurora activity more than compensated for not capturing images of the Perseid and Aquarid meteor showers.
