M27, the Dumbbell Nebula
On 08/05/2024 09:30 pm by Catherine Hyde| Cambria, CA USA
This is M27, the Dumbbell Nebula in the constellation Vulpecula. I shot it in 300-second images from 9:30 at night to a little after 4:30 the following morning, then stacked the images.
Stellarvue 152 refractor scope, Nikon D810A DSLR camera, Astro-Physics Mach2 tracking mount.
Separated the stars and nebulosity so I could stretch the nebula without blowing out the stars. I used both PixInsight and photoshop to bring out what the camera sensor captured.
