Monterrey Mexico is surrounded by mountains so sometimes it is not easy to capture the young waxing crescent moon at around a day old cause it may start to hide behind a mountain when it is too clear to see it, washed out by the sun light. This time it was dark enough to capture both, Venus and the moon.
