Dumbbell Nebula (M27)

On 07/20/2024 12:20 am by Atharva Maurya| Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, India

Dumbbell Nebula, Also known as M27 resides more than 1,200 light-years away in the constellation Vulpecula. With an apparent magnitude of 7.5. M27 was the first planetary nebula ever discovered. The term “planetary nebula” is a bit of a misnomer based on the nebula’s round, planet-like appearance when viewed through smaller telescopes. This is 1 hour exposure of Dumbbell Nebula through my Telescope

I captured this Nebula for 2 hours through a 5-inch Newtonian Telescope and a Manual Equitorial Mount (Used a Motor Drive for decent tracking).

Telescope: Fotocart Planetview 130EQ
Camera: ZWO ASI224MC Planetary Camera
Mount: EQ3 German Mount
