Mercury-Regulus conjunctions with Venus setting below.

Between Wednesday 24th and Friday 26th of July, Mercury was photographed approaching the bright star Regulus with Venus setting in bright volcanic sunset glow beneath. Although there was an increase in smoke haze during the three days Mercury could be seen rising, getting closer and then separating again from Regulus. These pictures are special because they not only capture Mercury-Regulus conjunctions in volcanic sunsets on three consecutive days but Venus is also present setting below.

Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in manual exposure mode.

Compilation of montage of three size-reduced photographs taken around 6 pm on three consecutive days. Minimal application of 'Star Spikes Pro' filter to make planets and Regulus more clearly visible.
