Moon and Virgo
On 07/13/2024 09:23 pm by As Prasad| Minnesota, USA
July Moon after completing the first quarter. At this time, the Moon had eclipsed Spica, the brightest star in the constellation of Virgo. The faint blue star you see on the mid-left corner is "86 Virginis". It is actually a multiple giant star of spectral class G8.
Note:- I have doublechecked with the night-sky map of July 13th and I am 99.9% sure that it is 86 Virginis.
