Baby Praying Mantis, July 14, 2024

Yesterday we discovered this baby praying mantis taking up residence in our 3-year old avocado tree on our back deck. Still being there today, it obviously was looking to do some portrait photography. It's about 1 1/2 long today. We'll see how long it sticks around. I just think they are fascinating creatures.
