M8 (Lagoon Nebula), M20 (Trifid Nebula), & M21. Imaged from the farm across the street from house because this collection of objects is too low for my tree line at home. We are looking directly into the heart of the Milky Way (near the core). The Lagoon (M8) is visible to the naked eye from dark sky locations. You can find it about 5 degrees above the spot of the Teapot Asterism in Sagittarius. This is one of my favorite regions in the sky, so much going on. Open star clusters, dark nebulae, reflection nebulae, and emission nebulae. M8 is about 4,300 light-years from Earth, M20 is about 5,200 light-years, and M21 is about 3,900 light years from Earth.
