Serendipity - A divine accident!
I had been sharing images of iridiscent contrails from the past couple of weeks and decided that I should make a timelapse show casing the movement of the jet across the sky. My sole focus was on the jet and it's contrails and never knew that the crescent moon was hidden in plain sight and only upon processing of the images did I discover that the 4.5% thin crescent moon of this month also got captured in my frame which was a delight and astonishing surprise for me. I have always chased thin crescents but to actually capture with mere chance and luck that's a first for me. Here is an image of Eva Air Boeing 777 throwing out iridiscent contrails with the crescent moon as captured on 08-06-2024.
The image shows Eva Air Boeing 777 with iridiscent contrails and the 4.5% crescent moon with an elongation of 24 degrees.
