Long-horned bee on black-eyed susan

This genus Melissodes long-horned bee was spotted on a black-eyed susan in my neighbors’ incredibly abundant front-yard garden in Sacramento, CA. Long-horned bees aren’t rare where I live, but like all invertebrate pollinators, they need protection & support from their human neighbors. I highlight wild & native pollinators in my nature photography.
