Booby on a Buoy

Brown Boobies are normally found in the Caribbean and tropics but occasionally wander north like this adult bird who found himself in New Jersey this week. The bird was found and ID’d through the collaborative efforts of Monmouth County Parks staff at the reservoir. What a treat to see this rare visitor.
