A brief walk around the pond today revealed a couple of male Widow Skimmers (Libellula luctuosa) playing tag. The sun caught this one just right, transforming his wings into jewels of reflected light.
Canon SL2 DSLR, Canon 75-300mm lens at 300mm. F/6.3, 1/1000th of a second, ISO 400. Handheld.
