Moon and Spica in daylight conjunction
On 06/16/2024 06:25 pm by Paolo Palma | Website | Rome
Single shot of the Moon - Spica conjunction above the Basilica of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme in Rome, taken when the Sun was still about 3 degrees above the horizon.
With the naked eye the star was not yet visible, but with the Nikon's zoom it was clearly visible, even when the Sun still illuminated the angel statue that seems to be looking at the conjunction.
I prefered however to use a more opaque shade by attenuating the blues colour of the sky.
