600 Years of Trailing

Tash-rabat is a stone caravanserai (traveller's inn) built in the 15th Century. This place, situated at the Old Silk Route served as a resting place for travellers and traders traversing through this route, especially after crossing the nearby Torugart pass. Situated at an altitude of 3200m (10500 ft), this caravanserai is situated 100-150 km away from the nearest city. People mostly come here for a day visit. There are a few yurts where people like us could stay.
We spent two nights at this location. While the first night was ruined (?) by heavy snowfall, the second night gave us one of the most beautiful skies we have ever witnessed. We spent our night under the clear skies in a freezing temperature (-8 to -10 ° C) which was extremely rewarding. This one is one of the many nightscape images captured at this location.
