Globular cluster Omega Centauri

Globular cluster NGC 5139, i.e., Omega Centauri, captured at 22 degrees of elevation above the southern horizon. This was taken in the midst of a large power blackout, which improved viewing conditions from the usual Bortle class 8, to about class 5 and possibly 4. The sky was not only clear but also transparent, which is an unusual occurrence for the tropical summer.
