Crescent Nebula

On 06/06/2024 01:00 am by Makrem Larnaout| Tunis, Tunisia

Here is an image of the magnificent Crescent Nebula (NGC 6888) taken over two successive nights, with a total integration time of only 6 hours. Using my 400mm telescope and a Sony IMX533 sensor, I was able to reveal breathtaking details of this fascinating nebula.

The image shows the gas clouds in red thanks to the H-Alpha filter, highlighting the complex structure of the nebula. At the center, you can admire the Crescent Nebula, formed by the powerful stellar winds of a dying Wolf-Rayet star. At the bottom right, the mysterious Soap Bubble Nebula (PN G75.5+1.7) can also be seen, adding an extra touch of beauty to this celestial scene.

I am thrilled to share this interstellar journey with you! 🌌✨
