The planet Mercury

Although Mercury is only 6.5 arc-seconds across (for reference the full moon is 1,800 arc-seconds), you can still capture its phase and even some surface details, using today's modern equipment and software. This was done just after noon, with a very bright sun 17.5 degrees away.
