"Killers" and the Flower Moon

This is the full Flower Moon rising over Alcatraz Island on Thursday, May 23rd. The cellblock, water tower, and lighthouse from the famous prison site can be seen, along wit the San Francisco Bay Bridge in the background. The moon is still quite distorted in this photo due to the thick layers of atmosphere above the bay.

Alcatraz housed some of the most infamous prisoners in the United States during its time as a prison which was only from 1934-1963.
