Gila Woodpeckers pair bonding and feeding on Saguaro cactus flowers

I had my camera focused on these flowers when a female woodpecker landed, and remained still making no effort to do anything, then a few minutes later the male arrived and went to work. Interesting to watch the female waited for the male to to dig deep into the flowers to get the tasty bits for her even though she had flowers in reach she made no attempt to feed, that seems to be his job. He would stick his head deep into the flowers, his face covered in pollen and then hop over and feed her. It appears this part of pair bonding the male giving the female food.
